Long Island State Parks Open for Swimming

The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation announced that all swimming restrictions put in place due to Tropical Storm Hermine have been lifted. The following beaches are open for swimming:

  • Hither Hills State Park: Daily through Sept 18, from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

  • Jones Beach State Park Field 6: Daily through Sept. 18, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  • Jones Beach West Bathhouse Ocean Beach: 10 and 11, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  • Jones Beach Central Mall: Daily through Sept. 9, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Sept. 10 and 11, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sept. 17 and 18, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  • Robert Moses State Park: Fields 2 and 5: Daily through Sept. 18, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekends.

  • Sunken Meadow State Park: Daily through Sept. 18, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
