The New York State Department of Taxation and Finance today announced that its Income Tax Call Center will extend its hours to assist last-minute filers.

The deadline to file a personal income tax return and pay any taxes owed is 11:59 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) Monday, April 18.

In addition to standard hours of operation from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET on weekdays, Tax Department experts will be available as follows:

• 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. EDT on Friday, April 15;
• 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. EDT on Saturday, April 16; and
• 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. EDT on Monday, April 18.
