                        Unveiling will take place at the entrance of the pool parking lot. General George Washington and several reenactors will cue the unveiling with symbolic cannon fire.

On Monday, August 22 New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation Commissioner Rose Harvey welcomes and hosts U.S. Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell and U.S. Congresswoman Nita Lowey at both FDR and Bear Mountain state parks to celebrate National Parks Service Centennial Week. The week kicks off with a Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area unveiling at FDR State Park involving General George Washington and several other reenactors dressed in period uniform and follows with community roundtable discussion centered on historic preservation at Bear Mountain State Park.
