MTA Advises Customers of Service Disruptions on the D and N Lines in Southern Brooklyn

Customers Traveling to and from Coney Island-Stillwell Av on the D and N are Advised to Take Alternate Routes
Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) New York City Transit (NYCT) tonight advised customers that due to damage to the signaling system near Coney Island-Stillwell Av, service on the d and n  lines is suspended in parts of Brooklyn and delayed in other areas.

While a review of what occurred is in early stages, it appears that crews conducting essential repair and protection work damaged cables, disrupting signal capability for the d and n lines serving Coney Island-Stillwell Av. Customers are advised to avoid d and n trains if possible. Signal maintenance teams are on-site working to restore service as quickly as possible. b, f, and q trains are making all stops, but running with extensive delays in both directions.

"We take service disruptions very seriously and are always working to ensure these issues are addressed immediately," said NYCT President Richard Davey. "Crews will work throughout the night to repair damaged infrastructure and restore full service. Additionally, I have ordered a halt to all work in the impacted area until the root cause of tonight's issue is identified. I apologize for the inconvenience this is causing riders."

d Service:

d trains are suspended from Bay Parkway to Coney Island-Stillwell Av. There is free shuttle bus service between the impacted stations in both directions. Additionally, customers can transfer at Bay Parkway to a B64 bus for service to Coney Island-Stillwell Av.

n Service:

n trains are suspended from 86 St to Coney Island-Stillwell Av. There is free shuttle bus service between the impacted stations in both directions. Customers can take w trains in Manhattan and Queens and transfer to an r or q train at Canal St for continued Brooklyn Service.

Alternative Service in Brooklyn:

Take f or q trains to/from Coney Island-Stillwell Av.
Consider nearby B1, B4, B36, B82, or B68 buses.
