Competition will be held in eight winter sports and will feature children from around the world, ages 12-15, participating in an international level of competition most have never experienced. The International Children’s Games are geared toward friendly competition and international cultural diversity. The athletes will have the opportunity to mingle with many children from cities around the globe in an enriching environment of cultural exchange. WHAT: 2019 International Children’s Winter Games WHEN: January 6-11, 2019 WHERE: Lake Placid’s Olympic Venues to include the Olympic speed skating oval, Olympic Center, Olympic Jumping Complex and Whiteface Mountain, in Wilmington WHY: The opportunity to expose young athletes, ages 12-15, to international level of competition most have never experienced, while at the same time introduce them to international cultural diversity and the opportunity to mingle with many children from cities around the globe in an enriching environment of cultural exchange Media planning on attending and covering the 2019 International Children’s Winter Games and its events must be credentialed.
