NEW YORK STATE TO AUCTION MODULAR OFFICE BUILDING

10-day eBay Auction Begins November 2

The New York State Office of General Services (OGS) today announced a 10-unit modular office building located on the New York State University of New York College at Fredonia campus will be sold at auction on the NYSStore eBay site. The online auction will commence on November 2, and bidding will last for 10 days.

The modular office was manufactured in 2002 by Penn Lyon Homes Inc. and was set up on the Fredonia campus in 2009. The office building contains 7,200 square feet of space, with each of the 10 units measuring 60 feet long by 12 feet wide by 13 feet, 9 inches high. The modular units are being sold with handicap-accessible restrooms, carpeting, interior doors, wall dividers, a handicap-accessible ramp, stairs, entry canopies, and heating and air conditioning systems.

The property is being sold “as-is.” Prospective bidders are encouraged to obtain professional advice prior to the public sale to assure compliance with building codes and any planned use of the modular units. Complete details, including photos, legal and reference documents, as well as auction and insurance requirements can be found online at the NYSStore eBay site (stores.ebay.com/nysstore) beginning on November 2.

The modular units are being auctioned as a group, and the successful bidder is responsible for removing all 10 of them from the campus. The removal process must begin within 10 days after payment is made. Once the removal process begins, it must be completed within five business days.

For additional information or to inspect the modular office complex, contact Kevin Cloos at (716) 673-3452 or kevin.cloos@fredonia.edu. Potential buyers are strongly encouraged to inspect the modular units prior to bidding, and appointments for inspections must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance.
