WHO: Terri Egan, Deputy Commissioner of Safety, Consumer Protection and Clean Air, New York State Department of Motor Vehicles Ben Zadrozny, Program Manager, New York State Motorcycle Safety Program Rich Ramsell, Motorcycle accident survivor and retired policeman Sergeant Johnathan Hughes, Dutchess County Sheriff’s Department Sergeant Todd Jicha, Town of Poughkeepsie Traffic Enforcement Unit
NOTES: Motorcycles are more prevalent on the highways during the warmer months, and their popularity is on the increase in New York State as the number of licensed riders continues to rise. With the increase in riders comes the added responsibility for motorists to watch for motorcycles. This event is to remind both motorists and riders to share the road safely.
