Whiteface & Gore Mountains Fire up the Snowguns for March

2016-’17 Season Passes on Sale Now

WILMINGTON, N.Y. --- What Mother Nature isn’t providing in March, Whiteface Mountain, in Wilmington, N.Y., and Gore Mountain, in North Creek, N.Y., will … snow. Both ski resorts have re-energized their snowguns and are blowing snow as temperatures and conditions allow.

“We want to ensure that we have the best skiing and riding possible as long as we can,” said Whiteface general manager Aaron Kellett. “Our goal is to lengthen the season for our customers and guests as long as we can.”

Guns at Whiteface have been placed on Excelsior, Victoria, Summit Express, Upper valley, Lower Valley, Fox and the Mixing Bowl trails.

“The compliments from our guests about the conditions and their experience at Gore this season have been sincere and are appreciated,” added Gore general manager Mike Pratt. “Our snowmaking and grooming crews have done and are continuing to do a tremendous job.”

Snowmaking at Gore is taking place on Headwaters, Twister, Sunway and the Jamboree trails, as well as in the resort’s base area.

While at either resort, purchase your 2016-’17 season pass and ski and ride for free the rest of this winter. Through April 29, the Adults SKI3 pass, which also includes Belleayre Ski Resort, in Highmount, N.Y., is just $759, while the Junior pass is only $299.

This is one big deal. Combined that’s 7,000 vertical feet of skiing and riding on eight peaks, 886 acres, 33 glades and 227 trails.

For more information about the SKI3 season pass, or other 2016-’17 season pass specials visit http://www.whiteface.com/tickets/whiteface-season-passes. Passes can be purchased at each resort, on-line, by phone or through mail.
