STATEMENT FROM NYS ENVIRONMENTAL FACILITIES CORPORATION PRESIDENT AND CEO MAUREEN A. COLEMAN |
|
“Governor Hochul’s bold $3.75 billion plan to upgrade New York State’s water infrastructure is a game-changing investment in the health, safety, and future of every community. This builds on $1.1 billion in grants provided to local governments Statewide for system improvements in just the past year. These investments are modernizing aging facilities to reduce risks to public health and our environment and protecting drinking water by addressing harmful emerging contaminants and replacing lead service lines— all while making projects affordable and creating good-paying jobs. EFC stands ready to support local partners in accessing and deploying these resources efficiently to ensure communities have safe, reliable water while protecting the pockets of New Yorkers.” |
