Ski another Weekend at Gore and Whiteface |
|
LAKE PLACID, N.Y. --- Sneak in one more weekend of skiing and riding before the warmer weather settles in for good and all the snow melts away. Both Gore Mountain, in North Creek, N.Y., and Whiteface Mountain, in Wilmington, N.Y., will open Saturday and Sunday, April 18-19, for what will likely be the last runs of the 2014-’15 season. Gore plans on opening approximately 40 trails and four lifts (Northwoods Gondola, the Straight Brook Quad, High Peaks Chair and Topridge Triple) with a special rate of just $30 per person. At Whiteface, adult lift tickets will be just $48, teens tickets $38, and juniors are only $28. The mountain will have a better idea of what trails and lifts will be open as the weekend gets closer, so keep your eyes on the conditions report for updates. While taking in the final runs of the season don’t forget to grab your 2015-’16 SKI3 pass for Whiteface Mountain, Gore Mountain, and Belleayre Ski Resort, in Highmount, N.Y.
The SKI3 pass is available through April 24 for just $759 for adults and seniors, $399 for young adults and college students and only $299 for juniors. Plus skiers and riders, who are 70 and older, can purchase the pass for only $210.
