One lane in each direction, northbound and southbound, will be closed at the Bronx-Whitestone Bridge, immediately south of the toll plaza from 10pm Friday, April 7 through 12:00 noon Sunday, April 9, and for several more weekends through April and May, in order to perform necessary roadway reconstruction work on the Bronx side of the bridge.

An additional lane will be closed Southbound (Queens bound) in the early morning hours, Saturday from 1:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. and Sunday from 4:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Motorists should allow additional travel time or consider using an alternate route during the weekend lane closures.
