ADVISORY: Governor Hochul, Senate Majority Leader Schumer and MTA Chair and CEO Lieber Celebrate Full Opening of Grand Central Madison

Governor Kathy Hochul, Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer, MTA Chair and CEO Janno Lieber, and other elected and federal officials join the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) to celebrate the official opening of Grand Central Madison with full Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) service set to begin Monday, Feb. 27, increasing service levels by 41%. Grand Central Madison is the first major railroad terminal to be built in the United States in 67 years, and the first expansion of the LIRR since Penn Station opened 112 years ago.
