Electricians Recruit Apprentices |

Hauppauge, NY (March 6, 2017) – The Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee for the Electrical Industry of Nassau and Suffolk Counties will conduct a recruitment from April 5, 2017 through September 20, 2017 for 28 electrician apprentices, one electrician (house or residential) apprentices, and two electrical maintenance technician apprentices, the New York State Department of Labor announced today. Applications can be obtained and submitted, in person only, at 370 Motor Parkway, Hauppauge, NY, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on the first and third Wednesday of each month, excluding legal holidays, during the recruitment period. Applications must be received no later than 12:00 p.m. on September 20, 2017. The Committee requires that applicants:

Apprentice programs registered with the Department of Labor must meet standards established by the Commissioner. Under state law, sponsors of programs cannot discriminate against applicants because of race, creed, color, national origin, age, sex, disability, or marital status. Women and minorities are encouraged to submit applications for apprenticeship programs. Sponsors of programs are required to adopt affirmative action plans for the recruitment of women and minorities. |
