Statement from MTA Chief Safety and Security Officer Patrick Warren on Arrests of Two Suspects Wanted for Transit Crimes

“Once again today, attentive police officers recognized a wanted robbery suspect in a subway station and made an arrest. That came hours after a separate team of officers patrolling overnight spotted another wanted suspect and arrested him. Their visibility in the transit system makes clear to criminals who would prey on New Yorkers that they will be stopped and prosecuted. Riders can continue to return to the subway system with confidence as they are in record numbers. We are grateful for the commitment of the NYPD for their visible patrolling on platforms and trains.”
