Nor’easters Deliver Outstanding Conditions for Belleayre, Gore & Whiteface

LAKE PLACID (MARCH 14, 2018) --- If you’re looking for snow, Belleayre Ski Resort, in Highmount, N.Y., Gore Mountain, in North Creek, N.Y. and Whiteface Mountain, in Wilmington, N.Y. have what you’re looking for. The region’s third Nor’easter in just 10 days is making for great skiing and riding conditions for powder hounds and groom runners alike.

Belleayre Ski Resort has received 10-inches of snow in the past 24 hours. That brings the March snow total to more than five feet. Every trail is open at Belleayre so celebrate this Saturday by bringing your best tailgate set up to the resort. Show your tailgating pride with games, tents, trucks, coolers, cookers or anything you want in this bragging rights party. Tailgaters will have reserved spots in the garage lot at the top of Lift 1 and 2.

Skiing and riding photos from Belleayre are found HERE.

Gore Mountain is reporting 74 open trails and eight inches of new snowfall over the last 24 hours. Saturday’s Magical Leprechaun Race is open to skiers of various ages and abilities. Get as far ahead of the Leprechaun as you can for your chance to win prizes. Afterwards, it’s live music in the Tannery Pub with Brian LaPoint, from 3-6 p.m.

Skiing and snowboarding photos from Gore are available HERE.

Whiteface Mountain is reporting 16-inches of snow over the last 24 hours. Ten inches fell overnight and 74 trails are open for skiing and riding.

This Saturday join in on the St. Patrick’s Day fun at the Olympic mountain. There’s live music with Ausable Branch, in the newly renovated Cloudspin Bar & Grill, then on Sunday, it’s the final Give Back Sunday on the season. Bring a grocery bag of canned pet food, a 10-pound or larger bag of dry pet food and/or pet toys to the resort’s ticket window and save on the purchase of your lift ticket. All donations will go to area shelters.

Skiing and riding photos from Whiteface can be found HERE.

While at any of the three ski resorts, put just 25-percent down on the purchase of your 2018-‘19 season pass and enjoy unlimited skiing for the rest of this season. This new payment plan has no additional fees and just three easy payments.
