STATEWIDE INTEROPERABLE AND EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS BOARD ANNOUNCES MAY MEETING

The New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services (DHSES) Office of Interoperable and Emergency Communications (OIEC) today announced the quarterly meeting of the Statewide Interoperable and Emergency Communications (SIEC) Board.

The May 27 meeting will be the board's second of 2015. In accordance with Executive Order #3, the SIEC Board meeting will be open to the public. A recording of the meeting will be made available on the DHSES website on May 29, and will stay posted for 30 days following the meeting.

About the SIEC Board
The SIEC Board was created under Section 326 of the New York County Law to review policies and programs intended to improve interoperable and emergency communications for first responders throughout New York State. The 20-member board is comprised of state agency representatives, state legislative representatives, representatives of first responder organizations, and experts in the field of interoperable and emergency communications.
