Weekend Lane Closures at Robert F. Kennedy Bridge/Bronx Approach 4/21 to 4/24/17 and 4/28 to 4/30

One out of two ramp lanes will be closed during two weekends on both the Major Deegan and Bruckner Expressway approach ramps to the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge Bronx span, in the Bronx-to-Manhattan/Queens direction. The first weekend closures will start at 9 p.m. on Friday, April 21, through 5 a.m. Monday, April 24. The second weekend of closures will start at 9 p.m. on Friday, April 28 through 11:59 a.m. Sunday, April 30.  One lane will remain open on the approach ramps at all times.

The closures at the Bronx approach are required for necessary roadway pavement replacement work. All work is weather dependent.

Motorists are advised to allow additional travel time during these weekend periods, or consider an alternate route.

Motorists can sign up for MTA e-mail or text alerts at www.mta.info and check the Bridges and Tunnels homepage or Facebook page for the latest information on this planned work.
