Get Ready for Summer at Metro-North’s Getaway Day at Grand Central Terminal on Wednesday, May 17 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Free Event to Feature Regional Travel Deals and Raffle Prizes

Whether you’re planning a spring escape or looking ahead to a summer excursion, come explore places to go and things to do that are just an easy train ride away at MTA Metro-North Railroad’s annual Staycation Showcase. It’s happening on Wednesday, May 17, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Grand Central Terminal’s Vanderbilt Hall. This free event will highlight a wide range of special discount rail packages to more than 30 attractions, destinations and cultural venues around New York City, the Hudson Valley and Connecticut.

Metro-North has partnered with the region’s top tourism partners to offer customers special discounted excursion packages.  Representatives from regional destinations and attractions will help you plan your next getaway – whether it’s a family outing, romantic weekend or outdoor adventure. Explore easy to reach, affordable and exciting daytrips and overnight places to go and things to do throughout New York City, the Hudson Valley and Connecticut, including: NY Welcomes You, Visit New Haven, Pedal Peekskill, Scenic Hudson, the Hudson Valley Renegades and many more destinations, outdoor adventures and cultural attractions.
