The New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services (DHSES) Office of Interoperable and Emergency Communications (OIEC) today announced details of an upcoming meeting of the Statewide Interoperable and Emergency Communications (SIEC) Board. The board meets quarterly, and the November 17th meeting will be the fourth of 2015. This meeting will be open to the public and a recording of the meeting will be made available on the DHSES website on November 19, and will stay posted for 30 days following the meeting.

About the SIEC Board The SIEC Board was created under Section 326 of the New York County Law, to review policies and programs intended to improve interoperable and emergency communications for first responders throughout the State, and make recommendations to the DHSES commissioner about funding related communications programs. The 25-member board is comprised of state agency heads, state legislative representatives, representatives of first responder organizations, and experts in the field of interoperable and emergency communications.
