Media Advisory: New York State Department of Health and Office for the Aging to Host Town Hall in NYC to Discuss the Master Plan for Aging

Event: NYSDOH and NYSOFA are launching a series of town hall meetings across the state to provide information to local communities and receive input on New York State's Master Plan for Aging (MPA). The kick-off meeting will be held at Hunter College in New York City and can be viewed online here.

What: MPA Chair and the Department of Health's Office of Aging and Long-Term Care Deputy Commissioner Adam Herbst will lead the discussion, joined by MPA Vice Chair and Office for the Aging Acting Director Greg Olsen. They will outline the short and long-term goals of the MPA and seek comments and questions about the plan, which is designed to ensure aging New Yorkers and people with disabilities have access to the programs and services they need to live healthy, fulfilling lives while aging with dignity and independence.
