Metro-North wants to help New Yorkers to take a bite out of the Hudson Valley. Indulge in an extravaganza of tastes…roasted rack of lamb, fish and chips, lobster mac & cheese,  fettucine & short ribs, chicken tacos, chocolate molten lava cake… just to list a few. Loosen your belt! Hudson Valley Restaurant Week is almost here. 

Hop on Metro-North to experience Hudson River Valley Restaurant Week, presented by The Valley Table, from Monday, October 30, through Sunday, November 12. Eighty-eight of the 200 participating restaurants are either within walking distance or a quick cab ride from Metro-North stations along the Harlem, Hudson, New Haven and Port Jervis Lines. With Metro-North’s Ride2Drive program, customers who join Zipcar, have the option of accessing a vehicle at select stations.  So go ahead…indulge in some of the best dining the region has to offer at just a fraction of the normal price.  
 
The Hudson Valley has grown into New York's premier culinary destination. Hudson Valley Restaurant Week offers deeply discounted three-course prix-fixe lunches at $22.95 and dinners at $32.95. Many chefs' menus include original dishes using the best fresh produce cheeses and meats, all locally-grown in the Hudson Valley.
 
Hudson Valley Restaurant Week connects the region's leading artisanal producers and purveyors with chefs, restaurants and the leading business influencers who make up the local food and drink industry. Spanning 114 miles across six New York State counties, Hudson River Valley Restaurant Week it is geographically one of the largest restaurant week events in the nation.
 
Diners don’t have to worry about passes, tickets or coupons. Simply chose from a list of available restaurants at https://www.valleytable.com/hvrw/restaurants. Then make a reservation at your restaurant of choice and ride Metro-North to the closest station.  No traffic, no parking woes - just take a relaxing trip on Metro-North and enjoy your meal.

Metro-North recently rolled out the first phase of its Ride2Drive program with Zipcar (http://www.mta.info/news/2017/02/24/metro-north-railroad-and-zipcar-launch-hudson-valley-car-share-initiative). Customers heading to restaurants from Poughkeepsie, Beacon, Port Chester, Harrison and Mamaroneck now also have the option of using Zipcars that are parked at designated spots at each of those stations.      
 
For those who prefer the telephone, information is available from the Metro-North’s Customer Service Center by calling 511, the New York State Travel Information Line, and saying: “Metro-North Railroad.” For customers calling from Connecticut, the number is: 877-690-5114.  Those who are deaf or hard of hearing can use their preferred service provider for the free 711 relay to reach Metro-North at 511.
