LAKE PLACID, N.Y. (November 17, 2016) --- The excitement of luge World Cup racing returns to the famed Mt. Van Hoevenberg combined bobsled/luge/skeleton track the week of November 30-December 3, 2016. The event comes as the world’s best luge athletes eye the 2108 Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea, just a more than a year away. Attached to this advisory is the event’s media credential request form, to be returned by November 21, 2016 for consideration WHAT: Viessmann Lake Placid Luge World Cup WHEN: Racing Friday, Dec. 2, 10 a.m. with doubles and men’s singles, and Saturday, Dec. 3, beginning at 9:30 a.m., with women’s singles and team relay racing. WHERE: Mt. ORDA operates Whiteface, Belleayre and Gore Mountain ski areas; the Olympic Sports Complex at Mt. Van Hoevenberg; the Olympic speed skating oval, Olympic jumping complex and Olympic arena.
