About the New York AAPI Commission: The New York Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Commission was signed into law in 2023 by Governor Kathy Hochul. Comprising thirteen members from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds, the New York AAPI Commission is dedicated to advancing issues important to New York’s AAPI communities. With expertise spanning community services, mental health, youth development, social justice, economic empowerment, philanthropy and more, the Commissioners are united in their mission to ensure community voices shape actionable policy recommendations.
