Winter Energy Assistance Fairs and Virtual Energy Workshop Announced |

NYS Agency Experts to Help Consumers Navigate Cold Weather Events
ALBANY —The New York State Department of Public Service (Department) announced today that it will hold four in-person winter energy assistance fairs and one virtual workshop across New York State in coming weeks. These events are free and open to the public to learn about winter preparedness. Experts in energy, housing, aging, and more will be on-hand to assist community members in learning about and applying for programs.
The winter energy assistance fairs, hosted by various State agencies, will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023, December 16, 2023, January 20, 2024, and January 27, 2024, to assist community members in learning about:
In addition to the in-person winter energy assistance fairs, community leaders and elected officials are invited to a ‘one-stop shopping’ virtual workshop to hear from State agency experts in energy, housing, aging, and more, about programs to help their constituents this winter. The virtual workshop, scheduled for January 11, 2024 at 1:30 pm, will include presentations from the following State agencies: Department of Public Service, Energy Research and Development Authority, Housing and Community Renewal, Office for the Aging, Power Authority and the Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance.
