What:             Opening of the new community playground located within a 10-minute walk for over 30,000 East Flatbush neighbors

State Parks Commissioner Rose Harvey joins the Winthrop Campus Schools faculty and students, State and Local Community Leaders, The Trust for Public Land, New York City Department of Environmental Protection, New York Road Runners to open newest student-designed community playground.

The community playground is made possible through these close partnerships under Governor Cuomo’s Vital Brooklyn Initiative. The Vital Brooklyn initiative will transform 8 playgrounds, renovate 22 community gardens and improve 4 recreation centers in Brooklyn by 2020.
