Women’s USA Hockey Team Camp Details Announced

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (March 21, 2013) – USA Hockey released today the daily schedule and media availability for its U.S. Women’s National Team Pre-World Championship camp set for March 26-29 in Lake Placid, N.Y. All activities will take place at the Olympic Center.

At the conclusion of the camp, USA Hockey will announce the U.S. Women’s National Team that will represent the country in the 2013 International Ice Hockey Federation Women’s World Championship in Ottawa, Ont. from April 2-9.

A total of 28 athletes will participate in the camp, with the final 23-player roster announced on March 30. For a complete roster click here.

Tuesday, March 26
9-11 a.m. Practice – The Olympic Center

Wednesday, March 27
11-noon Off-Ice Strength & Conditioning at The Olympic Training Center
4-6 p.m. Practice – The Olympic Center
6-6:30 p.m. Media Availability – Locker Room Corridor

Thursday, March 28
9-10 a.m. Pre-Game Skate - The Olympic Center
10-10:30 a.m. Media Availability – Locker Room Corridor

Established in 1982, the New York State Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA) was created by the State of New York to manage the facilities used during the 1980 Olympic Winter Games at Lake Placid. ORDA operates Whiteface, Belleayre and Gore Mountain ski areas; the Olympic Sports Complex at Mt. Van Hoevenberg; the Olympic speed skating oval, Olympic jumping complex and Olympic arena.
