PSC POSTPONES CPV VALLEY PUBLIC STATEMENT HEARING

Comments Sought on Request by Orange County Power Plant Developer

Albany, NY – The New York State Public Service Commission (Commission) announced that it has postponed a public statement hearing scheduled for February 13, 2013 at Orange County Community College in Middletown, New York due to the pending inclement weather, and that a new date for the hearing will be selected as soon as possible.

The purpose of the hearing is to seek comment on a request by CPV Valley, LLC for approval of a certificate of authority to operate as an electric corporation regulated by the Commission.  CPV Valley intends to own and operate a power plant in Orange County. CPV Valley, a limited liability company formed under the laws of the State of Delaware, is proposing to own, operate and construct the CPV Valley Energy Center, a 630-megawatt electric generating facility on a 122-acre site in the Town of Wawayanda, Orange County.
