A FULL DAY CELEBRATION RECOGNIZING THE PEOPLE AND PROGRAMS ADVANCING THE CAUSE OF CHILDREN’S MENTAL HEALTH IN NEW YORK STATE

WHAT:   The 2019 ‘What’s Great in Our State’ event will include a full day of events including a presentation of Governor Cuomo’s proclamation identifying the week as Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week.

The event will feature:

  • An award ceremony honoring six honorees
  • Three workshops on Building Bridges in NYS communities
  • Two young adult keynote speakers
  • An art show featuring the work of children served in NYS mental health programs
  • Dessert reception

Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week seeks to raise awareness about the importance of children’s mental health and to show that positive mental health is essential to a child’s healthy development from birth.
