State Parks Announces Connect Kids to Parks Field Trip Grant Program Milestone

What:       Announce Connect Kids to Parks Field Trip Grant Program milestone and participate in environmental education programming

Students from the Riverside Academy Blue Economy Program, Buffalo City School District, will be at Letchworth State Park for a Connect-Kids funded field trip.  The program begins at the Humphrey Nature Center and will include environmental education workshops at Trout Pond, a short walk from the nature center.

The Connect Kids to Parks program offers state grants to public schools in Title 1 districts throughout New York State to fund field trips to state parks and historic sites for environmental, historical and physical education programming. The Connect Kids program will refund up to $1,000 of the field trip costs for visits to a New York State Park, Nature Center, or Historic Site (Parks), or a Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) Environmental Education Center, fish hatchery, or selected DEC sites.
