New York Lottery Announces New Draw Station Line Up |
|
Lottery players may now tune into the following TV stations to view the Lottery’s full complement of live drawings: WICZ (Channel 40) in Binghamton; WUTV (Channel 29) in Buffalo; WRGB (Channel 6/The CW Channel 15) in the Capital Region; WETM (Channel 18) in Elmira; WABC (Channel 7) in New York City; WPTZ (Channel 5) in Plattsburgh; WHAM (Channel 13) in Rochester; WSTM (Channel 3) in Syracuse; and WUTR (Channel 20) in Utica.
“We’re proud to continue the partnerships we’ve established with many of our draw stations and pleased to bring some new stations on board. We look forward to working with each to give Lottery players the best viewing experience possible.”
New York Lottery draw stations have exclusive rights to air Lottery drawings and/or scroll winning numbers on screen, as needed, during pre-scheduled programming.
The New York Lottery continues to be North America’s largest and most profitable Lottery, contributing $3.11 billion in fiscal year 2014-2015 to help support education in New York State. The Lottery’s contribution represents 14 percent of total state education aid to local school districts.
New York Lottery revenue is distributed to local school districts by the same statutory formula used to distribute other state aid to education. It takes into account both a school district’s size and its income level; larger, lower-income school districts receive proportionately larger shares of Lottery school funding. |
