Customers may visit www.mta.info and check out “The Weekender,” accessible by clicking the  “Weekender” tab located within the Service Status Menu. The Weekender makes it easy for subway riders to visualize exactly how weekend work will affect subway service.

The “Weekender for Mobile App” includes MTA Subway Time data and is available for iPhone in the Apple app store, and in the Google Play store for Android devices.  This free-to-download app shares the same features as the desktop version, including a subway diagram that displays the service to be provided each weekend, and all service changes.  Users can pinch or expand the map to multiple zoom levels, and tap to choose one of three ways to view service diversions: Service by Line, Service by Borough and Service by Station. 

Customers can also download the apps at http://web.mta.info/apps/weekenderApp.html.

TripPlanner+ provides travel information that takes weekend service diversions into account.  In addition, customers can receive customized subway diversion e-mails delivered to their inbox by signing up for the E-mail Subscription Program by clicking here.  .

These weekend changes are part of capital construction work on the MTA New York City Transit subway system.  NYC Transit’s ongoing Capital Rebuilding Program upgrades and maintains tracks, stations and signal infrastructure in order to continue to provide our customers with safe and reliable service.  For more information on the 2015-2019 Capital Program, click here.   Customers who rely on these lines should allow for additional travel time.

Until Spring 2018,  service will be suspended in Brooklyn each weekend from 11:45 p.m. on Friday to 5:00 a.m. on Monday.

• In Brooklyn,  service will be extended to New Lots Av to replace the .  service will be extended to Flatbush Av-Brooklyn College to replace the .   and  trains will run local in Brooklyn.  Service will not be available at the Clark St and Hoyt St stations.  As an alternative, use the nearby Borough Hall and Nevins St .  Transfer at Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr for  trains for service to Manhattan.
• In Manhattan, downtown  trains will be rerouted.  trains will run between the Bronx and South Ferry, making local stops between 34 St- Penn Station and South Ferry.   service will run between Harlem-148 St and 14 St.  Service will not be available at the Park Place and Wall St stations.  Use the nearby Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall and Wall St  stations instead.
• A free out-of-system transfer is available between the South Ferry  and Bowling Green  Times Sq-42 St for  trains to Brooklyn. 

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, July 1 to 3:00 a.m. Monday, July 3,  service will operate in two sections between Woodlawn and 125 St, and between 125 St and Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall.  To continue your trip transfer between trains at 125 St. 

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, June 30 to 3:00 a.m. Monday, July 3, Woodlawn-bound  trains skip 138 St-Grand Concourse.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, June 30 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, July 3,  service operates to/from New Lots Av all weekend, replacing the  in Brooklyn. 

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, June 30 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, July 3,  trains are suspended in both directions between Eastchester-Dyre Av and 86 St.   service will operate all weekend between 86 St and Flatbush Av-Brooklyn College.  Free shuttle buses operate all weekend between Eastchester-Dyre Av and E 180 St, stopping at Baychester Av, Gun Hill Rd, Pelham Pkwy, and Morris Park.  Transfer between  trains and shuttle buses at E 180 St.  Transfer between  and  trains at 149 St-Grand Concourse.   trains run express in Manhattan all weekend.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, June 30 to 6:30 a.m. Sunday, July 2, and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday, July 2 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, July 3, Inwood-207 St bound  trains run express from 59 St-Columbus Circle to 125 St. 

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, June 30 to 6:30 a.m. Sunday, July 2, and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday, July 2 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, July 3, downtown  trains skip 50 St, 23 St, and Spring St. 

From 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Saturday, July 1, and Sunday, July 2, 168 St-bound  trains run express from 59 St-Columbus Circle to 125 St. 

From 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Saturday, July 1, and Sunday, July 2, downtown  trains skip 50 St, 23 St, and Spring St.

At all times until Fall 2017,  trains skip Prospect Av in both directions.  For service to/from this station use the nearby 4 Av-9 St  or 25 St  stations via the B37 and B63 local buses. 

At all times until early 2018, Manhattan-bound  trains skip Avenue U, Avenue P, Avenue N, Bay Pkwy and Avenue I.

• For service to these stations, take a Manhattan-bound  train to Kings Hwy or 18 Av and transfer to a Coney Island-Stillwell Av bound 
• For service from these stations, take a Coney Island-Stillwell Av bound  train to Kings Hwy or Avenue X and transfer to a Manhattan-bound .

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, June 30 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, July 3, Coney Island-Stillwell Av bound  trains are rerouted via the  from Roosevelt Av to W 4 St-Wash Sq, then via the  to Jay St-MetroTech.  Trains run local from 71 Av to Queens Plaza.

• For service to 21 St-Queensbridge and Roosevelt Island, take the  to the 7 Av  station and transfer to a downtown  to 47-50 Sts station for Jamaica-bound  For service from these stations, take a Jamaica-bound  to Steinway St and transfer to a Coney Island-bound .
• For service to/from Lexington Av/63 St, use the  via transfer at Times Sq-42 St/Port Authority. For service to/from 57 St, use the nearby 5 Av/53 St or 7 Av 
• For stations along 6 Av, use corresponding stations on 8 Av. Or, use the downtown  or uptown  via transfers at 7 Av and/or W 4 St-Wash Sq.
• For service to B’way-Lafayette St, transfer to the  at W 4 St-Wash Sq. To 2 Av, Delancey St, East Broadway, and York St, take the  to Jay St-MetroTech and transfer to a Jamaica-bound .  For service from these stations, take a Jamaica-bound  to W 4 St-Wash Sq and transfer to a Coney Island-Stillwell Av bound .

From 11:30 p.m. Friday, June 30 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, July 3,  trains are suspended in both directions between Church Av and Hoyt-Schermerhorn Sts.   service operates in two sections:

• Between Court Sq and Bedford-Nostrand Avs, and between Bedford-Nostrand Avs and Hoyt-Schermerhorn Sts, every 20 minutes.
• To continue your trip, transfer at Bedford-Nostrand Avs. Transfer between  and  trains at Hoyt-Schermerhorn Sts, and transfer between  and  trains at Jay St-MetroTech.

At all times until Summer 2017, Manhattan-bound  trains skip 121 St and 104 St. 

• For service to these stations, use the nearby 111 St or Woodhaven Blvd stations instead. Or, take the Manhattan-bound  to 111 St or Woodhaven Blvd and transfer to a Jamaica Center-bound .
• For service from these stations, use the nearby 111 St or Woodhaven Blvd stations instead. Or, take the Q56 bus and transfer to/from  service at nearby 111 St.
• Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer bound  trains skip 104 St and 121 St between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on weekdays. Take a Q56 bus or the  train instead. 

From 6:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 1, Broad St-bound  trains skip Flushing Av, Lorimer St and Hewes St.

Beginning 12:01 a.m. Saturday, July 1 until September 1,  service is suspended in both directions between Middle Village-Metropolitan Av and Myrtle Av.  Free shuttle buses provide alternate service.   service operates between 71 Av and Myrtle Av, then via the  to/from Broadway Junction.  Transfer between trains and free shuttle buses at Myrtle Av , Flushing Av JM, Myrtle-Wyckoff Avs  and Jefferson Av .  Free shuttle buses operate along three routes:

• Local between Myrtle Av and Fresh Pond Rd, making all .
• Local between Myrtle Av and Metropolitan Av, making all  stops (Fresh Pond Rd, evenings/nights only).
• Express between Flushing Av J and Metropolitan Av, stopping at Jefferson St  and Fresh Pond Rd.

From 6:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, July 1, Manhattan-bound  trains skip Flushing Av, Lorimer St and Hewes St.      

At all times until Fall 2017  trains skip 53 St in both directions.  Take the B37 or B63 to the nearby 45 St or 59 St stations for  service.   trains stop at 45 St during late night hours only (12:01 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. every day)

From 11:30 p.m. Friday, June 30 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, July 3,  trains will stop at the 45 St station in both directions.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, June 30 to 6:30 a.m. Sunday, July 2, and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday, July 2 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, July 3, Coney Island-Stillwell Av bound  trains run express from 34 St-Herald Sq to Canal St.

From 5:45 a.m. Saturday, July 1 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, July 2, Manhattan-bound  trains run express from Kings Hwy to Prospect Park.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, June 30 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, July 3,  trains are suspended in both directions between Bay Ridge-95 St and 36 St.   service operates days/evenings between 71 Av and 36 St, Brooklyn, and is rerouted via the  to/from 9 Av.  Late night  service between Brooklyn and Whitehall St is suspended.  Use the  or  to nearby stations and/or free line closure buses instead.  Free line closure buses provide alternate service between Bay Ridge-95 St and 36 St all weekend.  Transfer between trains and free line closure buses at 36 St or 59 St.

From 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Saturday, July 1 and Sunday, July 2, Bay Ridge-bound  trains run express from 34 St-Herald Square to Canal St and are rerouted via the  to DeKalb Av.
