The New York Lottery today unveiled a new interactive 3D hand painted mural featuring its latest scratch-off game, Gold Castle 3D, which features a first-of-its-kind augmented reality (AR) play option. The Lottery also announced a new selfie contest, inviting Facebook, Instagram and Twitter users to enter selfie photos taken in front of the mural. “The New York Lottery continues to harness technology and innovation to bring new players to our games,” said Gardner Gurney, Director of the New York Lottery. “The Gold Castle mural literally brings the game to life for New Yorkers to see and experience up close. This is just the latest example of the New York Lottery creating truly unique experiences for players, with more to come in the future.” The mural, located in Bushwick at the corner of Seigel and Bogart Streets, was produced by artists at Colossal Media under the creative direction of McCann New York. Located right between the Morgan L train stop and famed Roberta’s Pizza, more than 51,000 people will have the chance to interact with the mural each week. An additional mural, not part of the selfie contest, will be placed in Manhattan at Lafayette and Spring Streets. The contest is open to participants ages 18 years and older. The deadline for entry is August 29th at noon and photos must be tagged with #GoldCastle3D to qualify. Ten winners will be selected weekly with a total of 30 prizes. Each winner will receive ten Gold Castle scratch-off tickets, each with a chance to win up to $250,000. Colossal Media is the global leader of hand painted outdoor advertising.
