Brockport Man Wins Top Prize on New York Lottery's 20X the Cash Scratch-Off Game

BROCKPORT, N.Y. – Ronald Nau, 63, of Brockport, Monroe County won $1,000,000 on the New York Lottery’s 20X the Cash scratch-off game.

On Nau’s 20X the Cash ticket, he matched the number 21 to the winning number of 21 resulting in a top prize win of $1,000,000. He said that when he realized he had hit the jackpot he was excited and very happy about the win.

Nau purchased his ticket at the Wegmans at 3701 Mount Read Boulevard in Rochester.  He claimed his ticket on February 21.

Nau chose to receive his prize as a one-time lump sum payment totaling $555,912 after required withholdings. He is the 34th New Yorker to claim a New York Lottery prize of $1,000,000 or more so far this year.

The New York Lottery contributed $161,462,177.02 in Lottery Aid To Education to school districts throughout Monroe County during fiscal year 2012-13.
