As Tax Deadline Approaches, Albany County Executive, State Agencies, IRS, Non-Profits Remind New York State Residents of Free Tax Assistance and Earned Income Tax Credit |

When: Tuesday, March 25, 2014 10:00 a.m. Where: 40 North Pearl Street, Albany, NY. (OTDA offices and Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) site) Please check in with security and you will be directed to the site of the news conference. What: With the April 15 income tax filing deadline approaching, State, local and Federal officials will urge low-income workers to seek out free income tax assistance at Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) sites throughout New York State. Officials will also highlight numerous tax credits available that help to supplement the wages of hard-working families, including the Federal and State Earned Income Tax Credits (EITC).
