As part of the Governor’s new Adventure NY initiative, DEC will officially open new public access improvements at the Hand Hollow State Forest.

Who:       NYS Department of Environmental Conservation Deputy Commissioner for Natural Resources Kathy Moser and DEC Regional Director Keith Goertz will be joined by invited state and local elected officials and community partners.

What:      Ribbon cutting to unveil improvements at Hand Hollow State Forest

After the ribbon cutting, anyone interested can hike a half-mile to the onsite pond to view a new fishing access dock. Note that the trail is muddy and proper footwear is recommended.

When:     Friday, June 30, at 10 a.m.

Where:   Hand Hollow State Forest Parking Area on Hand Hollow Road near its intersection with Schoolhouse Road, New Lebanon, Columbia County
