Customers may visit our website at www.mta.info and check out “The Weekender,” accessible by clicking “The Weekender” tab located within the Service Status Menu. The Weekender makes it easy for subway riders to visualize exactly how weekend work will affect subway service.

The updated “Weekender for Mobile App,” which now includes MTA Subway Time data, is available for iPhone in the Apple app store, and I n the Google Play store for Android devices.  This free-to-download app shares the same features as the desktop version, including a subway diagram that displays the service to be provided each weekend, and all service changes.  Users can pinch or expand the map to multiple zoom levels, and tap to choose one of three ways to view service diversions: Service by Line, Service by Borough and Service by Station. 

Customers can also download the apps at http://web.mta.info/apps/weekenderApp.html

TripPlanner+ provides travel information that takes weekend service diversions into account.  In addition, customers can receive customized subway diversion e-mails delivered to their inbox by signing up for the E-mail Subscription Program.  Just log on to the NYC Transit homepage at http://www.mta.info/nyct.

These weekend changes are necessary because of capital construction work on the MTA New York City Transit subway system.  This work is part of NYC Transit’s ongoing Capital Rebuilding Program aimed at upgrading and maintaining our tracks, stations and signal systems in order to continue to provide our customers with safe and reliable service.  For more information on the 2015-2019 Capital Program log on to www.mta.info/capital.  Customers who rely on these lines should allow for additional travel time.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, February 10 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, February 13, South Ferry-bound  trains run express from 72 St to Times Sq-42 St.    

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, February 10 to 6:30 a.m. Sunday, February 12, and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday, February 12 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, February 13, Flatbush Av-Brooklyn College bound  trains run express from 72 St to Times Sq-42 St.     

At all times until further notice,  trains skip Sutter Av-Rutland Rd and Junius St in both directions.  Use free shuttle buses instead.

• For Service to/from Sutter Av-Rutland Rd, free shuttle buses operate between the Sutter Av-Rutland Rd station and the Crown Hts-Utica Av station at all times.
• For Service to/from Junius St, free shuttle buses operate between the Junius St station and the Rockaway Av station at all times.

At all times until further notice,  trains skip Pennsylvania Av in both directions.  Free shuttle buses provide alternate service between Pennsylvania Ave and Van Siclen Av at all times.  B20 and B83 customers can transfer to/from free shuttle buses at Pennsylvania Av.  Free transfer is available with MetroCard.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, February 10 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, February 13,  service operates to/from New Lots Av all weekend, replacing the 4 in Brooklyn. 

At all times until Spring 2017,  trains skip Sutter Av-Rutland Rd and Junius St in both directions.  Use free shuttle buses instead.

• For Service to/from Sutter Av-Rutland Rd, free shuttle buses operate between the Sutter Av-Rutland Rd station and the Crown Hts-Utica Av station at all times.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, February 10 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, February 13,  trains are suspended in both directions between New Lots Av/Utica Av and Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall.  Take the  or free shuttle buses instead.  For service between Manhattan and Brooklyn, take the  or .  For service to/from Wall St and Bowling Green, use the  ( overnight) at the nearby Rector St or Whitehall St.  Or, use the  at Fulton St or Broad St.  For service between Franklin Av and Crown Hts-Utica Av, take the  instead, running all weekend.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, February 10 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, February 13,  trains run local in both directions between 125 St and Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall.

From 3:45 a.m. Saturday, February 4 to 10:00 p.m. Sunday, February 5, Woodlawn-bound  trains run express from 149 St-Grand Concourse to Burnside Av.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, February 10 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, February 13,  trains are suspended in both directions between Eastchester-Dyre Av and E 180 St.  Free shuttle buses operate all weekend between Eastchester-Dyre Av and E 180 St, stopping at Baychester Av, Gun Hill Rd, Pelham Pkway, and Morris Park.  Transfer between trains and free shuttle buses at E 180 St.

From 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Saturday, February 11, and from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Sunday, February 12,  trains are suspended in both directions between Bowling Green and Grand Central-42 St.  Take  or  trains instead.  For stations between Grand Central-42 St and Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall take the  or .  For Fulton St, Wall St, and Bowling Green, use nearby  stations at Cortlandt St, Rector St, or Whitehall St.  Transfer between  and  trains at Canal St.

From 3:45 a.m. Saturday, February 11 to 10:00 p.m. Sunday, February 12, Main St-bound  trains run express from Queensboro Plaza to 74 St-Broadway. 

From 10:30 p.m. Friday, February 10 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, February 13,  trains are rerouted in Manhattan and Brooklyn.   trains and free shuttle buses provide alternate service.  Trains will operate as follows:

•  service operates between Norwood-205 St and 59 St-Columbus Circle, is rerouted via the  to/from Jay St-MetroTech, and via the  to/from Stillwell Av (trains run express in Manhattan).
•  trains replace the  in Brooklyn between Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr and Stillwell Av.
• Free shuttle buses operate between W 4 St-Wash Sq and Grand St, stopping at B’way-Lafayette St.
• For service to/from 7 Av, 47-50 Sts, 42 St-Bryant Pk, and 34 St-Herald Sq, use nearby stations on  Av or Broadway.
• Transfer between the  and  via the passageway at Times Sq-42 St/Port Authority. Transfer between  and  trains at Jay St-MetroTech or 4 Av-9 St.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, February 10 to 6:30 a.m. Sunday, February 12, and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday, February 12 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, February 13, Jamaica Center Parsons/Archer-bound  trains run express from Queens Plaza to Forest Hills-71 Av. 

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, February 10 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, February 13, Jamaica Center Parsons/Archer-bound  trains skip 75 Av and Briarwood. 

At all times until early 2017 Coney Island-Stillwell Av bound  trains skip Avenue I, Bay Pkwy, Avenue N, Avenue P, Avenue U, and Avenue X.  To these stations, take the Coney Island-bound  to Kings Hwy or Neptune Av and transfer to a Jamaica-bound .  From these stations, take a Jamaica-bound  to Kings Hwy or 18 Av and transfer to a Coney Island-bound .

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, February 10 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, February 13, Jamaica-179 St bound  trains skip 75 Av, Briarwood, and Sutphin Blvd.

From 10:30 p.m. Friday, February 10 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, February 13,  trains are rerouted in Manhattan and Brooklyn.  ACDNQR trains and free shuttle buses provide alternate service.   trains will operate as follows:

•  service operates between Jamaica-179 St and Lexington Av/63 St, is rerouted via the  line to/from Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr, and via the D to/from Coney Island-Stillwell Av (trains run express in Manhattan; also, trains skip DeKalb Av, days and evenings).
•  trains replace the  in Brooklyn between Jay St-MetroTech and Coney Island-Stillwell Av.
• Free shuttle buses run along two routes: Between W 4 St-Wash Sq and East Broadway, stopping at B’way-Lafayette St, 2 Av, and Delancey-Essex Sts, and between Jay St-MetroTech and York St.
• For service to/from 7 Av, 47-50 Sts, and 42 St-Bryant Pk, use the nearby stations on 7 Av or Broadway.
• Transfer between  and  trains at Times Sq-42 St/Port Authority. Transfer between  and  trains at Canal St.  Transfer between  and  trains at Jay St-MetroTech.

At all times until Summer 2017, Manhattan-bound  trains skip 121 St. 

• For service to this station, use the nearby 111 St station instead. Or, take the Manhattan-bound  to 111 St and transfer to a Jamaica Center-bound .
• For service from this station, use the nearby 111 St station instead. Or, take the Q56 bus and transfer to/from  service at nearby 111 St. 

From 10:30 p.m. Friday, February 10 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, February 13,  trains operate to/from the Chambers St  stations all weekend.  After Essex St,  service is rerouted via the  line to/from Chambers St, stopping at Bowery and Canal St. 

At all times until Spring 2017, Astoria-Ditmars Blvd bound  trains skip 86 St, Avenue U, Kings Hwy, 20 Av, 18 Av, New Utrecht Av, and Fort Hamilton Pkwy.   trains will stop at Bay Pkwy and 8 Av.

• To 86 St, Avenue U, and Kings Hwy, take the Astoria-bound  to Bay Pkwy and transfer to a Coney Island-bound .
• To 20 Av, 18 Av, New Utrecht Av, and Fort Hamilton Pkwy, take the Astoria-bound  to 8 Av and transfer to a Coney Island-bound .

• From these stations, take a Coney Island-bound  to Bay Pkwy or Stillwell Av and transfer to an Astoria-bound .
• For New Utrecht Av-62 St, take the  Transfer to an Astoria-bound  train at 36 St.

From 10:30 p.m. Friday, February 10 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, February 13, trains run local in both directions in Brooklyn between 59 St and Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr.   trains are rerouted via  line in both directions between DeKalb Av and Canal St.  Trains will stop at Jay St-MetroTech, Court St, Whitehall St, Rector St, Cortlandt St, and City Hall.

From 6:30 a.m. to 12 midnight Saturday, February 11 and Sunday, February 12, Forest Hills-71 Av bound  trains run express from Queens Plaza to 71 Av.
