Metro-North to Host 10th Annual Staycation Event in Grand Central Terminal on Wednesday, May 22Free Event to Feature Regional Travel Showcase and Getaway Prizes

Just in time for Memorial Day and the unofficial start of summer, discover places to go and things to do that are an easy train ride away at MTA Metro-North Railroad’s 10th annual Staycation Showcase at Vanderbilt Hall in Grand Central Terminal on Wednesday, May 22 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Explore the season’s hottest events, attractions and outdoor adventures for daytrips and weekend escapes, and begin making your own summer getaway plans. The free event turns Grand Central’s Vanderbilt Hall into a “staycation station’ for exploring great places to go and things to do, enjoy music performances and enter to win great getaway prizes.
This free event highlights a wide range of special, wallet-friendly discount rail packages to more than 25 attractions, destinations, historic treasures. cultural venues around New York City, the Hudson Valley and Connecticut.
“The Staycation Showcase is a wonderful way for us to help our customers discover how easy and economical it is to hop on Metro-North, experience popular attractions, and become tourists in their own backyard,” said Catherine Rinaldi, Metro-North Railroad President. “This is our tenth year holding this event, one that supports our region’s economic growth and vitality.”
