UNION SPRINGS CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT TO RECEIVE $10,000 PRIZE CHECK FOR FIRST-PLACE FINISH IN LOTTERY’S NEW YORK SINGS CONTEST

UNION SPRINGS, N.Y. – The New York Lottery will present a $10,000 prize check to officials and students of the Union Springs Central School District in recognition of the District’s first-place finish in the New York Lottery’s New York Sings Facebook contest. The social media promotion drew more than 240 entries from public schools statewide.

The event will include a performance by the student group whose rendition of the 70’s hit song “Thank You For Being A Friend” made it the overwhelming fan favorite in the New York Lottery’s social media contest devoted to building awareness of the Lottery’s mission to raise revenue for public K – 12 education.
