Ribbon Cutting for Swimming Beach Improvements at Stony Brook State Park

What: Ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the completion of improvements at Stony Brook State Park

When: 11 a.m. Monday, July 22, 2024

Commissioner Pro Tem Simons will highlight completion of a new visitors’ bathhouse, lifeguard headquarters, a new playground, and renewed footpaths – and announce future improvements.

The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation oversees more than 250 parks, historic sites, recreational trails, golf courses, boat launches and more, which saw a record 84 million visits in 2023.
