KEDNY Gas Rate Case Public Comment Hearings Scheduled

ALBANY — The New York State Public Service Commission (Commission) today announced it was seeking public comment concerning proposed changes in the gas delivery rates and practices of National Grid NY (KEDNY).

KEDNY filed gas tariff schedules on January 29, 2016, designed to increase its annual gas delivery revenues beginning January 1, 2017. As updated by KEDNY in testimony filed on June 10, 2016, the proposed rate change would result in an increase in delivery revenue of approximately $261 million. KEDNY’s proposal represents a delivery revenue increase of approximately 31 percent and an overall revenue increase, factoring in commodity and delivery charges, of approximately 20 percent. The actual bill impacts of these proposed changes on any particular customer class will vary.
