Rockaway-bound Marine Parkway Bridge Closed Overnight: Feb. 21-Feb. 25 and Feb. 27-March 1

Q35 Bus is Exception

The Rockaway-bound (south) side of the Marine Parkway-Gil Hodges Memorial Bridge will be closed to traffic during overnight hours each night from Tuesday, Feb. 21 through Saturday morning, Feb. 25, and again from Monday, Feb. 27 through Wednesday morning, March 1. The necessary closures are needed in order to conduct a crane operation on both the South and North Towers.

All south-bound traffic will be detoured to the Cross Bay Veterans Memorial Bridge between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. Note: The exception is Q35 bus, which will maintain normal route under facility escort. One Brooklyn-bound lane will remain open during this time. Signs will be in place advising motorists of the closure and detour coming off the bridge.

  • Wednesday, February 22, 2017, 10:00 PM thru Thursday, February 23, 2017, 5:00 AM.
  • Thursday, February 23, 2017, 10:00 PM thru Friday, February 24, 2017, 5:00 AM.
  • Friday, February 24, 2017, 10:00 PM thru Saturday, February 25, 2017, 5:00 AM.
  • Saturday, February 25, 2017, No Closures (after 5:00 AM)
  • Sunday, February 26, 2017, No Closures
  • Monday, February 27, 2017, 10:00 PM thru Tuesday, February 28, 2017, 5:00 AM.
  • Tuesday, February 28, 2017, 10:00 PM thru Wednesday, March 1, 2017, 5:00 AM.
