Electricians Recruit Apprentices |

Binghamton, NY (August 29, 2015) – The Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee for Electricians, Local Union #325, will conduct a recruitment from September 29, 2015 through September 28, 2016 for five electrician apprentices, the New York State Department of labor announced today. Applications can be completed online at any time during the recruitment period at www.ibew325.net. Applicants who do not have access to a computer may visit their local library or a NYS Department of Labor Career Center. Applicants must take and pass the Electrical Trades Aptitude Test with a score of at least 4 out of 9. A $22.00 testing fee is required and must be received by Local #325 two weeks prior to the day of the test. Please note, you may request that this fee be waived. Fee waivers will be approved upon showing verifiable proof of financial need. Payment must be in the form of a check or money order. Cash payments will only be accepted if payment is made in person. Checks and money orders must be payable to IBEW Local 325 JATC. Payments must be mailed or hand delivered to: IBEW Local 325 JATC, 142 Corporate Drive, Binghamton, NY 13904. Apprentice programs registered with the Department of Labor must meet standards established by the Commissioner. Under state law, sponsors of programs cannot discriminate against applicants based on race, creed, color, national origin, age, sex, disability, or marital status. Women and minorities are encouraged to submit applications for apprenticeship programs. Sponsors of programs are required to adopt affirmative action plans for the recruitment of women and minorities. |
