PUBLIC NOTICE: Wage Board Meeting to be Held on July 27, 2015

PURSUANT to the Open Meetings Law, the New York State Department of Labor hereby gives notice of the following:

The Fast Food Wage Board, appointed by the State Labor Commissioner, will meet on Monday, July 27, 2015, at 8:30 a.m. The meeting will be held at the Department of Labor, 75 Varick Street, New York City and connected via video conference to:
290 Main Street, Regional Office Conference Room, Buffalo
SEIU, 1800 Massachusetts Ave, NW, Rm. 8045, Washington, DC

The purpose of the meeting is for the Board to formally approve its Report and Recommendations on an increase in the minimum wage for workers in the fast food industry.

After it has been signed and submitted to Acting State Labor Commissioner Mario J. Musolino, the Report and Recommendations will be filed and a notice of its filing will be published and made available online at: www.labor.ny.gov/fastfoodwageboard. This will be followed by a 15-day public comment period. Comments will be accepted online and by mail.

The meeting is open to the public; however, no public testimony will be taken at this meeting.
