Interested Vendors Can Access Applications and Guidelines Here

Application Deadline is October 4 

New York State Office of General Services (OGS) Commissioner Jeanette Moy today announced that opportunities for vendors, performers, and sponsors interested in participating in New York State’s first-ever Diwali Festival of Light at the Empire State Plaza in Albany are now available on the empirestateplaza.ny.gov website.

The festival will take place at the Empire State Plaza Convention Center on Saturday, October 19, from 3 to 9 p.m. It will feature musical and dance performances, an array of activities for the whole family, and a fireworks display. Sponsors partner with OGS to present free, family-friendly events like this one and packages are available at every price point. More information about sponsorships is available here.

Interested vendors specializing in craft, merchandise, specialty products, and food can apply to participate in the event. The application deadline is Wednesday, October 4.

To be considered for participation, prospective vendors must complete an event-specific application and return it with payment to the Convention & Cultural Events Office by the return deadline listed on the application.

To become eligible to apply for an event, a completed Vendor Permit Agreement must be returned to OGS, along with all relevant and necessary certificates and documentation. This permit agreement must be renewed annually for returning vendors.
