ADVISORY: MTA Leadership to Join Community Leaders and Military Veterans for Ceremony to Restore a Piece of LIRR History

Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) Long Island Rail Road President Phil Eng will join Suffolk County officials, community leaders and military veterans for a ceremony to replace a historic locomotive weather vane that disappeared 23 years ago from the cupola of the Islip Station, which had been rebuilt and dedicated exactly 58 years earlier, on Dec. 6, 1963.
