ADVISORY: Top MTA Officials to Hand Out Free Pink Masks to Customers to Draw Attention to Breast Cancer Awareness Month** For Planning Purposes Only; Not for Publication, Broadcast or Social Media **

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) and its volunteer 'Mask Force' will distribute 114,500 free pink surgical masks to customers throughout the MTA service region in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The new initiative will begin with top executives from the MTA, including Chairman and CEO Patrick J. Foye, joining the Mask Force throughout the subway, bus and commuter rail network on Tuesday morning. The Mask Force regularly hands out free masks to promote health and safety in transit for the protection of riders and employees.
