The new teams recently returned from an intensive training program at the Search Dog Foundation’s National Training Center in Santa Paula, Calif., and now stand ready to respond to rescue situations that arise anywhere in New York State.
WHEN: Friday, February 9, 2018, at 11:00 a.m.
WHERE: Northeastern Industrial Park, 2 Van Buren Boulevard, Building 10, Bay 5, Guilderland Center, NY 12085. Upon arrival, please drive to the main gate where you will be directed to the demonstration location.
WHY: The addition of two new Disaster Search K-9 Teams will strengthen the State’s urban search and rescue capabilities. The two teams, both shelter rescues, join New York State’s Task Force 2 (NY-TF 2) that includes members of State and local emergency response agencies. Echo came from the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society (MHHS) in Menands, NY; representatives from MHHS will be in attendance. About DHSES |
