Take MTA Long Island Rail Road to the Annual Oyster Festival in Oyster Bay Village Over the Weekend of October 15 & 16

LIRR Is Providing Extra Train Service and Valuable Festival Discounts

The 33rd annual Oyster Festival takes over the streets of Oyster Bay Village over the weekend of October 15 and 16 and MTA Long Island Rail Road is definitely the best way to get there.

The LIRR is providing additional trains to and from the festival, situated directly adjacent to the Oyster Bay LIRR Station. Additionally, customers who purchase the LIRR’s Oyster Festival Package ticket get discounted round-trip rail fare, vouchers for five free oysters on the half-shell for adults, and free admission to “The Slide” for kids.

Oysters, of course, are only part of the menu at Long Island’s largest waterfront fair, with supply more than sufficient to meet the demand of oyster eating contests that are a tradition at this event. It’s really a fish fest that features an abundance of seafood from two dozen food vendors and don’t forget to visit the 150 arts and crafts booths, enjoy musical performances, and explore the tall ships and other exhibits
The LIRR has added the following trains to its regular weekend schedule to and from Oyster Bay.
