Cheektowaga, NY (February 15, 2018) - The Finishing Trades Institute of Western and Central New York (Buffalo) will conduct a recruitment from March 5, 2018 through March 1, 2019 for 10 painter and decorator (structural steel - bridges) apprentices, the New York State Department of Labor announced today. Please note that the openings listed for apprentices represent the total number for four recruitment regions – the Central, Finger Lakes, Southern Tier, and Western regions. Applications can be obtained on the Finishing Trades’ website, www.dc4.org, and mailed to: FTI of W & CNY, 585 Aero Drive, Cheektowaga, NY 14225. Completed applications must be received no later than 03/01/19. Applicants will be contacted to schedule an interview. Applications can also be obtained in person from the locations noted below. Apprentice programs registered with the Department of Labor must meet standards established by the Commissioner.
