It’s About the Ugly Sweaters at Whiteface this Sunday

WILMINGTON, N.Y. --- The 57th season of skiing and riding at Whiteface Mountain, in Wilmington, N.Y., is underway and the Olympic mountain is celebrating ugly sweaters, presented by Bud Light, Sunday, Dec. 7.  Lift tickets are just $48 for adults, $42 for teens and $35 for juniors when purchased in advance, online, at www.whitefacelakeplacid.com.

Be sure to join the fun of Sunday’s rail jam competition and come away with lots of great gifts and prizes, including the grand prize, a Nitro Misfit Snowboard.

After a super day of skiing and riding the east’s greatest vertical, the party moves upstairs to the Cloudspin Lounge for Bud Light drink specials, games and an ugly sweater competition.

For 24 consecutive years, readers of SKI Magazine have tabbed Whiteface Lake Placid number-one in the east for Off-Hill Activities. The magazine’s readers also named Whiteface their fourth favorite spot in the east for Après Ski and Nightlife.

The 2015 survey also tabbed Whiteface as the 10th top ski resort in the eastern United States. Whiteface also received kudos for Challenge (4), Scenery (No. 5), Character (No. 6), Dining (9) and Overall Value (No.10).

This spring, SnowEast Magazine readers chose Whiteface Lake Placid as their Overall Favorite Ski Resort in New York State and their Favorite Ski Destination.  SnowEast Magazine also voted Whiteface ninth in the east for Favorite Snowmaking.
